I am here to help navigate change and speak up for a more inclusive world, for all.

Supporting ALL individuals to be celebrated and supported for who they are.

I lead with my heart and follow my mission each day to help build a world where every individual is encouraged, included, and feels proud to be who they are. A vision that involves not being afraid to ask uncomfortable questions, ‘think outside the box’, push the beyond the ‘norm’ and to create change, where it is needed.

My personal journey exploring cultures, education, support systems, and sport around the world has helped to build the foundations of Share, Shape and Shine.

My journey has helped shape my outlook on the world and the areas needing to be brought to surface, questioned, and delved in to, to ensure that each person is supported to live a life they deserve. Share, Shape and Shine helps to highlight the need for education on Additional Needs for parent/carers, coaches, teachers, teacher aides and the wider community.

I know the importance of the role we; teachers, coaches, parents, and adults, play in the lives of every individual we support. Our impact goes beyond the here and now, and extends to setting up their entire life’s trajectory. As adults, it is crucial that we learn and support each individual to the best of our ability.

What makes what Share, Shape and Shine offer valuable and notable is that we shine a light on numerous Additional Needs in both education, sport and in the wider community. We provide the ‘need-to-know’ information to help you navigate the best possible support for your children, students, players, and community. Share, Shape and Shine is definitely your go-to!

Be brave enough to speak up and do things differently.

Be fearless enough to follow your heart and fight for inclusivity.

Be bold enough to create change and make an impact.

Let’s share the knowledge, to help shape the experience and allow ALL individuals to shine together.

I envision a world where people are given the opportunity, knowledge and tools to support all Additional Needs. I strive to ensure that every individual can provide an inclusive experience, and we can all united and in harmony.

What Qualifies Me?

I am a qualified Special Education Teacher with a Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Education and a passion to support people to be celebrated and understood for who they are.

I have chosen to engulf on a journey to ensure I can build a strong and extensive understanding of the strengths, challenges and impacts of individual needs on education, sport and life’s journey. I am an eager life-long learner who enjoys building skills and understanding by practical and hands-on experiences.

I was fortunate to start building my comprehensive understanding of supporting individuals with Additional Needs as a Teacher Aide in an Early Intervention Autism Centre on the Gold Coast, QLD. Within this role I worked closely in collaboration with Class Teachers, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists everyday. During my studies, I also chose to learn about the impacts of illness on education and took on a volunteer Teacher Assistant role at the Children’s Hospital School.

Once graduated, I headed to the Northern Territory to learn about education and challenges in a low socio-economic and multi-cultural setting as a Classroom Teacher within a Mainstream School. I continued to expand my professional knowledge by moving into the Special Education Unit the following year within an inclusive school and taught students across Primary Year levels.

From here, I chose to continue to build on my understanding of developmental student needs across their school journey from Preschool to Year 12, through being a Relief Teacher across the region in the NT.

Realising I wanted to understand Additional Needs beyond the education sector, I decided to head to a Summer Camp just north of New York City, USA to ensure I could broaden my understanding of the day-to-day challenges of individuals living with Additional Needs. I became a Camp Counsellor at a Multiple Disability Camp and supported and lived alongside people with disabilities from the ages of 6 to 90 years old.

On return to Australia, I took on a Special Education Teacher role within an Autism Specific School in Adelaide, SA where I worked with students with significant needs and continued to broaden my skills and outlook on Additional Needs in education.

From here, I decided I wanted to broaden my knowledge of the impacts of culture on education and Additional Needs, therefore I took on a Teacher role in an Islamic College in Adelaide, SA working with students from Prep to Year 10.

To continue to strengthen my understanding of Additional Needs in education, supporting Class Teachers and working in collaboration with families and health professionals I decided to move into a role as a Support Teacher: Inclusive Education at a Catholic College on the Gold Coast, QLD. I was able build a diverse understanding of numerous Additional Needs, supporting students with intervention, leading NCCD and, building and reviewing Support Plans in collaboration with teachers and families by case managing students from Year 3 to Year 9.

Most recently, I took on a Head of Learning Support and Curriculum role at a Special Assistance School on the Gold Coast, QLD to continue to support teachers, parents and students with complex needs. This role allowed me to delve in to the diverse external and internal impacts on a student’s educational and life journey.

My extensive teaching journey has led me to wanting to support teachers, parents/carers and adults around the world who have a passion to understand and empower all to shine!
